Rebecca Bredehoeft, CPCU, is the Head Casualty UW R&N North America at Swiss Re, where she oversees underwriting for Regional and National clients.

Rebecca has 30 years of experience in the insurance marketplace, holding roles in reserving, pricing, underwriting, client markets, and portfolio management, in both reinsurance and primary insurance. She joined Swiss Re in 2018, holding roles in actuarial functions, client markets, portfolio management, and underwriting. Prior to Swiss Re, Rebecca spent 13 years at Zurich North America, most recently serving as Head of Zurich’s Portfolio Performance Monitoring and Management unit, and previously leading the actuarial team responsible for large account pricing across all business units. Earlier in her career, she worked as a field actuary for St. Paul/Travelers and as a reserving and pricing actuary at Employers Reinsurance Corporation.

Rebecca has been a credentialed actuary for 25 years, is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and holds a CPCU designation.
